Including the use of Celestial and Terrestrial Globes, at the back a 15 page catalogue of his instruments for sale and prices thereof. Plus 21 nicely engraved copper plate prints showing among other things his more elaborate instruments for sale. 665 pages, numerous pages uncut. 5 in. x 8 3/4 in. x 2 5/8 in. Stored in a new made-to-order case box.

(RB-004) BERGERON, L. E. MANUEL DU TOURNEUR.
Set of unbound plates in good condition, some browning and slight tattering at corners and edges, but copper plate engravings very clear and bright. Tome I missing plates IV, V, IX, X, XI, XX, and XXI. Last plate is XXXVIII. Tome II missing plates XI, XVI and XLVIII. Last plate is LIV. Obviously from an Atlas unbound to sell by the individual plate.
NOTE: See book (RB-055) below. These are some of the same plates, but from a different copy of that set.

Extract (not a reprint) from the Grande Encyclopedia, containing 64 plates, French text. Good condition. 9 3/4 in. x 15 1/2 in. x 3/4 in.. The plates show the latest clock designs, watches, their parts and movements, and tools of the mid eighteenth century, preceded by 25 pages of text explaining the plates.

Includes printing, hay, cotton, general screw presses, various lifting cranes, jacks, wagons, blacksmith equipment, smith's and engineer's strong iron lathes, large planing, grooving, sloting, punching and shearing machines, fold out plate of many types of large, small, and circular saws, rules and gages, plate of portable beam and steam engines (4 horse power and up), two plates of large wood working machinery, saw mills, etc., brass turner's lathe, "Amatuer's Lathe", bench mounted, with eight drawers, all kinds of wood working hand tools, large, small, and Gentlemen's tool chests, plate of measuring rules and tapes, iron square, plate of horticultural tools, plate of hoes, picks, matchets, gold washing machine, Sugar house lamp, plate of nails, rivets, discs, plate listing "Railway Tools, Implements, and Machinery" (Not illustrated), plate of wood screws, plate of Forged bolt rings in iron or copper, plate listing "Engravings Preparing for Publication" which for one lists "Hot, Cold, and Shower Baths of all descriptions," A wonderful catalogue! (RB-024) HARDWARE CATALOGUE. Anonymous, Circa 1775.
Tattered but in good condition. 11 1/4 in. x 7 in. x 3/4 in. The rebound cover erroneously gives the date 1817. This is actually the number for that specific individual catalogue. (See Crom's; An Eighteenth Century English Brass Hardware Catalogue, page 10, 2nd column under "3" for an explaination of the number. See also Crom's Trade Catalogues pages 159 to 164 for a more extensive discussion of catalogue book numbers.) 83 copper engraved plates of all manner of 18th century brass hardware. Missing Plates are B-7-25-32-34-35, Winterthur has plate A.

accompany the 2 edition. Catalogue Des Machines, Instrumens, Outils,
Ivoires, Bois Etrangers, et Autres Objets Relatifs Aux Arts, 1817.
Good shape. It was for amateurs to enable them to obtain the tools required.
Each section refers to a plate and fig. with descriptive text and prices for each item.
