- (a) Immediately after 1st down Team "A" has lined up in its formation (no huddle) an "A" substitute Wide Receiver enters the formation and the Tight End leaves. There are 5 seconds after the sub has entered and the snap.

[47] The Tight End is positioned with his hands on his knees - shifts to the other end of the formation after the snapper has touched the ball - this initially leaves the Tackle on the end of the line. There are still seven men on the Line of Scrimmage...
- (a) 3rd down and 5 at the B45 - back runs for 6 yards.
- (b) 4th down and 5 at the B45 - in a Scrimmage Kick Formation (Tackle is #78) - they fake the kick and run for 6 yards.
- (c) 4th down and 5 at the B45 - in a Scrimmage Kick Formation (Tackle is #88 and an exception to the numbering rule) - they fake the kick and run for 6 yards.
- (d) 4th down and 5 at the B45 - In a Scrimmage Kick Formation (Tackle #88 - with "A" having 5 players 50-79 at the LOS) - "A" punts & downs the ball at the B3.
- (e) 4th down and goal at the B5 - "A" in Field Goal Formation - (Tackle #88 and an exception to the numbering rule) - "A" makes the FG.
- (f) 4th down and goal at the B5 - "A" in Field Goal Formation (Tackle #88 and an exception to the numbering rule) - a wide receiver on the side of the formation that the Tight End just vacated - moves up on the Line of Scrimmage to cover the Tackle and makes it an 8 man line - on a fake kick "A" scores.
- (g) 4th down and 5 on the B45 - In a Scrimmage Kick Formation (Tackle #88 and an exception to the numbering rule)- The Tight End moves prior to the Snapper touching the ball - "A" Protection Back walks up to the Line of Scrimmage as if to talk to the lineman - but takes a snap under center and sneaks for 8 yards to the B37.
[48] 4th and 8 at the A40. The punt is muffed by the Receiver at the B15 and recovered by "B" at the B5. During the loose ball...
- (a) An "A" player blocks a "B" player in the back in an attempt to get the ball.
- (b) An "A" player pushes a "B" player in the back of the legs below the knees in an attempt to get the ball.
- (c) A "B" player clips an "A" player at the B8 in an attempt to get the ball.
- (d) A "B" player pushes an "A" player in the back in an attempt to recover the ball.
- (e) An "A" player pushes a "B" player in the back to get the ball.
[49] 4th and 8 at the A40. The Kicker starts to run to his right and...
- (a) Suddenly kicks the ball at the A38. The ball rolls into the end zone.
- (b) Suddenly kicks the ball at the A35. The Kicker is hit just as he kicks. The defensive player that hit him did not touch the ball. The ball rolls into the end zone.
- (c) After a few steps kicks the ball at the A28. The Kicker has regained his balance and is watching the kick when a "B" player takes 3-4 steps and hits him hard with a block. The ball rolls into the end zone.
- (d) Suddenly kicks the ball at the A35. The Kicker is hit (helmet to helmet contact) just as he kicks. However, the defensive player that hit him did not touch the ball. The ball rolls into the end zone.
[50] 4th and 10 on the A30. The snap is bad and...
- (a) The ball bounces to the Kicker who recovers the ball directly in front of him- makes his kick straight ahead - and is roughed by the defense.
- (b) The ball bounces to the Kicker who muffs the ball one step to his right - steps to his right picks up the ball and assumes an obvious kicking stance and kicks the ball - he is roughed by the defense - ball goes O/B at the B20.
- (c) The ball bounces to the Kicker who muffs the ball one step to his right - steps to his right picks up the ball and runs a couple steps farther to his right and kicks the ball - he is contacted by the defense just after the ball is kicked- ball goes O/B at the B20.
- (d) The ball is snapped over the Kicker's head - he retrieves the ball at the A5 - immediately turns around and kicks the ball - he is tackled by the defense just after the ball is kicked. The defense does not touch the kick - ball goes O/B at the A25.
- (e) The ball is snapped over the Kicker's head - he retrieves the ball at the A5 - immediately turns around and kicks the ball - The ball is picked up by the Right Tackle at the A25 and advanced to the A40 before he is tackled.
