RUNNING:
[5] 1st and 10 at the A20. Immediately at the snap a Team "A" player is in the rectangular area (formerly called the free blocking zone). The run ends at the A31.
- (a) Blocks an opponent at the ankles straight forward.
- (b) Blocks an opponent from the side at the ankle.
- (c) Blocks an opponent in the back in the back of his legs above the knees.
- (d) Blocks an opponent in the back of the legs below the knee.
- (e) Blocks an opponent in the back of the legs at the knee.
[6] 2nd and 10 at the A30. Team A is lined up for a play from scrimmage ...
- (a) The back misses the count and jumps forward.
- (b) The tight end in a 3-point stance at the end of the line -stands up, steps back - pauses - and goes in motion. Team "A" gains 15 yards on the run.
- (c) The tight end standing at the end of the line - steps back and goes into motion - he does not pause. Team "A" gains 15 yards on the run.
- (d) A's back that is in motion clearly turns up field prior to the snap. Team "A" gains 15 yards on the run. Is this a live ball or dead ball foul?
- (e) The wide receiver - misses the count and jumps but does not get into the neutral zone. Is this a Live Ball or Dead Ball foul?
[7] 1st and 10 at the A30. There are 3 minutes left in the 4th Quarter and "A" is behind 21-14. They run a normal first down play - then team "A", in a hurry up offense rushes quickly to the line of scrimmage ...

[8] 1st and 10 at the A20. During a run to the A35, the pulling Guard and Tailback (who is stationary at the snap) block the Defensive End.
