- (c) The Receiver is forced O/B jumps and receives the ball. While in the air in the field of play he is contacted by the defense and first touches the ground O/B.
[17] 2nd and 8 at the A4. The QB throws a legal forward pass. The Right tackle holds prior to the pass.
- (a) Offensive holding occurs at the A4, incomplete pass.
- (b) Offensive holding occurs in the Team "A" end zone, incomplete pass.
- (c) Offensive holding occurs in the Team "A" end zone; Team "B" intercepts and returns to the B40. Team "B" was offside at the snap. (Add clock status to answer)
- (d) The Center holds in the end zone; Team "B" intercepts and returns the ball for a touchdown. Team B commits an illegal block in the back at the A5, during the touchdown run.
[18] 2nd and 12 on the A40. The Defensive Tackle tips the QB's pass at the LOS ...
- (a) The pass is caught by the Offensive Right Tackle and he runs to the 50-yard line.
- (b) The pass continues down field and is caught by the Tight End who is tackled at the 50. The Umpire calls an Offensive Lineman for being down field.
- (c) The ball continues down field and just as the Wide Receiver is about to catch the ball - the Defensive Back hits him. The ball falls incomplete.
- (d) The ball continues down field and as the Wide Receiver is about to catch the ball when the Defensive Back tackles him and the ball falls incomplete.
[19] 3rd and 5 on the A30. Team A receiver is out of bounds at the 50-yard line. Receiver takes two additional steps and leaps from out of bounds where he receives a legal forward pass and lands with his first foot in bounds at the B45.
- (a) Receiver was forced out of bounds by a Team B defender. Receiver continues on for a TD.
- (b) Receiver was forced out of bounds by a Team B defender. Receiver continues on for a TD however the FJ blew an inadvertent whistle at the B45 when the player lands inbounds. The LJ tells the FJ the receiver clearly landed in bounds.
- (c) Receiver went out of bounds on his own. Receiver continues on for a TD.
- (d) Receiver went out of bounds on his own. Receiver continues on to the B30 where he is hit and fumbles. Team B recovers at the B30.
[20] 2nd and 10 at the B20. Score is tied with less than 15 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter. Neither team has any timeouts remaining. Pass is completed at the B15, inbounds with the clock running. QB and offense scramble back to line up and attempt to spike the ball to stop the clock. Include Clock Status with your answer.
- (a) QB gets the snap off and spikes the ball with 3 seconds remaining. Team A had all eleven players on their side of the line of scrimmage at the snap. However 2 Team A players were not set at the snap.
- (b) QB gets the snap off and spikes the ball with 3 seconds remaining. Team A had two players on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage at the snap.
