The clock will next start on the snap.

(e) A 1/Goal B2-1/2. The 15-yard penalty is enforced from the end of the run since there is no change of team possession during the down.

The penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul resulting in a safety. (c) The try ends. This is not a safety during a try nor in extra periods as the penalty is declined by rule. 15. RULING: A Team B player intercepts on B's 3 and his momentum carries him into B's end zone. (a) B 1/10 B2-1/2. The 15-yard penalty is enforced half the distance from the spot of the foul. (b) B 1/10 B3. The ball is returned to the spot of the fumble. The momentum exception applies. (c) Safety. The momentum exception does not apply since the ball became dead in the field of play. The 10-yard penalty is enforced from the spot of the interception.

The 15-yard penalty for Team A's dead ball foul is then enforced from the succeeding spot and takes the ball back to B's 17, 1st and 10. DQ the receiver.
17. RULING: The QB is in the pocket, under duress, and throws a forward pass where no eligible Team A player has a reasonable opportunity to catch the ball. (a) A 4/15 B30. Team A next puts the ball in play at the spot of the pass whether the penalty is accepted or declined. (b) B 1/10 B30. Team B takes over on downs whether the penalty is accepted or declined. Since there is no succeeding kickoff, the 15-yard penalty must be enforced on the try or declined (10-2-2-g-3).
