Copyright © 2004 James C. Dunavant, All Rights Reserved ~ Horror ~ What do you do when the body of the young girl you had secretly desired rises from the dead and demands you have sex with her? Peter Wesley doesn't know, but he must find out! All that is important to him is at stake: his family, Diana--his wife-to-be, the dead girl's soul, and his sanity.
Peter begins to unravel the mystery with the help of Renee's spirit who speaks to him in dreams, and the help of a paranormal investigator who video tapes Renee's dead body sitting up in her coffin and discussing the matter. Then, when Peter thought things couldn't get any worse, Diana mysteriously disappears, and so does Renee's body--which apparently got up and walked out of the mausoleum. Peter must find them both, somewhere deep in the thick woods surrounding the Silverstone estate. If he does not, Diana will die--her soul forever trapped in Renee's rotting body. And Renee's soul will be forever trapped in the void . . .

Authorities are tracking Dorothy Weaver who they believe is responsible for the "Sex Killings" that have occurred in Atlanta, Georgia over the past five years. When she packs up and moves to a small rural community in northern Florida, they discover that Henry Tibbs--who was found guilty of the brutal murder of Vivian Greeno six months ago--has the same M.O. The similarities between the two cases is astonishing. Both kill on their birthdays and both kill by slashing the throats of their victims while having sex with them, and both have killed four times starting when they were fifteen years old. The most puzzling aspect of the two cases is that Weaver and Tibbs were both born on the same date, literally within minutes of each other. Why the pair, who do not know each other, should kill on their birthdays using the same methods is unknown. Tibbs was declared criminally insane and is being held in the maximum security wing of the psychiatric hospital in Bradsville. Weaver is free, and she, like Tibbs, has a birthday coming up. Will authorities be able to stop Weaver from killing again? And what will Tibbs do now that he is incarcerated and unable to find a victim to fulfill the deadly impulse? No one knows, but all will wish they had never heard of the pair when Weaver is finally caught and sent to the same facility where Tibbs is being held... Status: a work in progress. Father Jagger is a killer. He doesn't want to be, but it is required by the Church that he erase those persons deemed to be a threat to the World View of Godship, the state religion of the colonized planet Zeller. Jagger can't be killed; he is, by the powers of Godship, immortal and invulnerable. A small band of what is left of the human race after the alien Yanken invaded and conquered the solar system, hide out in a hollowed-out asteroid. There, they conceive and store in cryogenic stasis human embryos, hoping to repopulate the solar system once the Yanken have gone. While dealing with his remorse of the killings required of him, Father Jagger begins to doubt the World View of Godship. He seeks to discover the truth, and stumbles upon knowledge that not even the Church Fathers know... Status: research and planning. Click here to contact the author about this manuscript. |

In the distant
future, humankind attempts to use its knowledge to achieve immortality.
When biological immortality proves impractical, the technology is developed
where the conscious personality can be transferred to a near-perfect humanoid
machine. But something goes wrong. Those who have transferred are not the
same--are not human. The process is made illegal and the transcendent are
sought out and terminated. In an effort to survive, the transcendent use
hyperspatial technology to go back in time to an earlier period in Earth's
history--the early 21st century--a time where they are indistinguishable
from humans.
