MARCH 1, 2002
After having lived in Norway for 17 years, Joan and her husband Thor have moved back to Florida where Joan has set up a brand new studio with teaching facilities only a few yards from the deep water leading to the Gulf of Mexico. You can even visit their place by any size motor or sail boat. Joan is busting with authentic Rosemaling techniques, mostly obtained during her long stay in Norway, the homeland of Rosemaling, that she can't wait to share with her fellow citizens, friends and many readers. Being the only known American that ever came to Norway teaching the Norwegian their own folk art at the University, you will find her background and experience in teaching this wonderful art form quite unique. As you may know, she has published several Rosemaling books, art articles in major art publications since the late seventies, and been the very first to offer Online Rosemaling Seminars. You can see these by clicking on --> www.rosemal.comShould you wish to learn more about Joan's extensive back ground as an artist, kindly click on --> www.rosemal.com/web Starting March
